SHEENA HOLT

I'm a writer, editor, and journalist in New Orleans. As a writer, I have experience covering a variety of verticals, including dating, architecture, real estate, and food and beverage. I've covered artistic innovators like the team behind The Lesbian Bar Project, and I've interviewed top researchers like behavioral anthropologist Dr. Helen Fisher and reproductive-care expert Dr. Diana Greene Foster.

I also work in digital content marketing. I'm passionate about helping brands spread their expertise and reach their ideal clients through targeted long-form and short-form copy, media contact, and social media advertising.

I'm currently pursuing my MFA in fiction writing at the University of New Orleans, where I serve as co-managing editor for international literary journal, Bayou Magazine. I won the 2025 Ernest and Shirley Svenson Award for Fiction and the 2026 Bobby and Lori Savoie Scholarship for Creative Writing at UNO. I'm working on a short story collection about homeschooling.
